Simple SMS
Length: 160 characters
Extra long SMS or concatenated SMS
Keep your messages short to avoid extra costs. ASPSMS can send extra long SMS. Up to 9 SMS can be linked which corresponds to a total length of 1377 characters. Costs occur for each sub-SMS.
Number format
For originator and recipient numbers, always use international standard numbers format (E.164 numbering plan), without points, brackets, spaces and special characters. The appropriate country code list by country can be found on Wikipedia Wikipedia
Examples
Originator
The originator can be either numeric (numbers only) or alphanumeric (letters and numbers).
Numeric Originators (phone numbers) must be unlocked for safety with a code beforehand. You receive this code on your mobile phone or your landline number. The receiver can directly reply to respond, if the phone number can receive SMS.
The maximum length for an alphanumeric originator is 11 characters. It may not contain any special characters, including spaces. Important: the recipient cannot directly reply to a text messagee with an alphanumeric originator. Also, consider shortening alphanumeric originators:
Sendlog
Messages are stored for 7 days in the productive sendlog. During this time, delivery notifications can be requested. SMSBLASTER.COM web edition keeps a detailed log.
Delivery Notifications
The ASPSMS System provides handset SMS delivery notifications. If a text message is successfully delievered, the recipient's handset acknowledges it and confirms receiving the SMS.

The ASPSMS System distinguishes 4 Delivery Status.
-

-
Buffered (Reason: various)

Possible reasons: absent subscriber, device out of memory, temporary technical issue within the network of terminating operator, etc.
The delivery status «buffered» changes within 24 hours to the final delivery status «Delivered» or «Not delivered».
Delivered: The operator confirms the reception of the message. You can consider the message delivered.
Not delivered: The terminating operator has given up delivering the message after 24 hours.
-
Unknown (Reason: n/a)
Deferred delivery time: Delivery is in the future.
